Onomatopoeia is when you say something that means exactly what it sounds like. An example of that would be “buzz” or “zip.” Another example is in this song, “Boom Boom Pow” by The Black Eyed Peas. It is in these lyrics, “…gotta get boom boom boom…” In this song, there are more examples onomatopoeia, but it is just the same as the one I listed earlier. There is one more, though. Instead of saying, “…gotta get that boom boom boom,” it says, “…gotta get that boom boom pow.” If you would like to listen to this song that has onomatopoeia here is the link to listen to “Boom Boom Pow”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4m48GqaOz90
I used to listen to this song a little bit because it was a catchy song. The song does give onomanotpoeia like you said and you can find it in the song and in the title. This song was a good choice as using it as an example. Good job Bwhyte.
My question to you is this, is this your favorite song?
I did the same song. It is a good pick. Good job. It is a good pick for an onomatopoeia. I like this song but it gets boring after a while. It just says the same thing over and over again. GREAT JOB!!!!!
This is a great song to use with onomatopoeia! I used the same song. Great minds think alike! This song has onomatopoeia in it perfectly because it has boom in it. You did a great job, but I have a question. Do you listen to this song a lot and that’s how you knew that it used onomtopoeia?
Hay brandon great pick on the song it seems like all the onomatopeia songs are getting snatched up. Anyway i don’t really like this song a whole lot its pretty good but i think its gets annoying after awhile. anyway my question is for use what is the worst song you ever heard?
I like your choice of music because this song was very common in my class and other classes too. This is was a great post to choose this song for because it is really easy to post about. Also it is a song that is an obvious onomatopeia. Keep up the good work, sir. I liked the post. Good Work
